The Far North West Joint Organisation (FNWJO) is a collaborative regional body committed to improving outcomes for communities across Western NSW. Our member councils share a vision for a region of diversity and opportunity that cares for its people and environment. The FNWJO also delivers executive services under contract for the Alliance of Western Councils (AWC).
Far North West Joint Organisation is seeking a motivated and strategic Executive Officer to lead our next chapter of regional collaboration and advocacy. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of one of NSW's most resilient and diverse regions, spanning the vast west of NSW.
As Executive Officer, you'll work closely with the FNWJO Board to deliver the FNWJO Strategic Plan and the AWC Strategic Plan, champion regional issues, provide executive services for the Alliance of Western Councils and ensure our communities have a trusted voice and advocate working for them.
Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership: Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and monitor the Statement of Strategic Regional Priorities.
* Board Support: Ability to provide advice and guidance to the Board and member councils on matters of regional significance.
* Regional Advocacy: Represent FNWJO in intergovernmental forums and advocate for whole-of-government responses to shared challenges.
* Financial and Resource Management: Demonstrated ability to manage the people, finances, resources, work, services, and projects of the organisation efficiently and effectively.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive relationships with councils, government agencies, MPs, Ministers, and other Joint Organisations.
* Organisational Management: Skills to oversee FNWJO's resources, services, and projects with efficiency and transparency.
* Contract Management: Demonstrated experience delivering management services to a third party, including managing the service contract.
* Knowledge & Relevance: A deep understanding of regional issues and ensure FNWJO's profile remains credible and influential.
* Collaboration: Ability to support member councils to work cooperatively for improved infrastructure and service outcomes.
* Class C NSW driver's licence.
