Meet the culinary team at a correctional centre and join the Spotless catering crew in Yongah Hill, Northam WA. You will play a vital role in preparing culturally diverse meals for those in detention.
Assemble, prepare and produce food as per the Catering Manager's directions. This includes maintaining kitchen cleanliness, managing stock control, adhering to kitchen policies and procedures, monitoring food safety standards, completing Food Safety Documentation accurately and timely.
Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with HACCP Food Safety guidelines, proper handling and rotation of stock using FIFO principles, maintaining appropriate holding temperatures for perishable items, and contributing to a culture of safety and quality improvement.
The ideal candidate will possess a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, knowledge of menu and nutritional standards, full understanding of HACCP Food Safety guidelines, and exemplary bulk cooking skills. They should also have strong written and verbal communication abilities, excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude.
