The commercial team works across multi‑residential, health, social and affordable housing, NDIS/SDA‑approved housing, tourism, education, and government sectors. Our role is to ensure every project begins with accurate, compliant, and well‑coordinated documentation that supports smooth delivery and strong buildability outcomes.
An exciting opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Draftsperson to join our pre-construction team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, values technical accuracy, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
What you’ll do:
* Support Concept to Construction: Produce accurate, coordinated documentation from early concept through to full construction sets using Revit.
* Design Development: Assist with feasibility assessments, concept planning, and design refinement for tenders and secured projects.
* 3D Visualisation: Use Lumion to create high‑quality 3D renders and build and maintain a commercial project catalogue.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure clarity, compliance, and buildability.
* Technical Excellence: Ensure all documentation meets NCC, Australian Standards, QDC, and NDIS/SDA requirements.
* Quality & Coordination: Manage revisions, issue sets, and document control while supporting constructability reviews and value engineering.
* Team Integration: Work closely with the drafting team, and the Design Manager to maintain design intent and documentation quality.
What you’ll bring:
* Qualification in Building Design, Architecture, or a related field (or relevant industry experience).
* Demonstrated experience in commercial projects.
* Strong construction knowledge and understanding of commercial detailing.
* Proficiency in Revit (especially from project start‑up) and experience producing full documentation sets.
* Experience interpreting architectural, engineering, & consultant documentation.
* Strong understanding of NCC, Australian Standards, QDC and NDIS/SDA requirements.
* Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills.
* Ability to work autonomously, proactively, and collaboratively.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
* High attention to detail and technical accuracy.
* Current Driver’s Licence.
* Bonus: Modular construction experience (highly regarded but not essential).
