Job Description
Outcomes Connect Australia (OCA) expanded into Queensland from Victoria in 2024. We are excited to announcethat the expansion means growth of our Queensland Behaviour Support team so we are now looking to recruit a Behaviour Support Practitioner living in (or very close to) Parkwood on the Gold Coast.
Wewill consider a person who already has an understanding of positive behaviour support under the NDIS or has limited experience working as a registered Behaviour Support Practitioner and a sound knowledge of The Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework for reducing the use of restrictive practices along with a strong commitment to delivering evidence-based, functional behavioural outcomes.
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner you will...
* Support our clients (NDIS participants), along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning
* Identifymeaningful goals and practical strategiesutilising The Positive Behaviour Support Capability Famework, with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community
* Develop, deliverand evaluateevidence-based support plans within a complex support space
* Ensureindividual plans reflect our clients' goals, passions and strengths
* Buildthe knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support our clients - family, carers, friends, etc

About you
* Current suitability (i.e. registration) with the NDIS Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner OR considerable experience providing support to people with behaviours of concern (professionally and/or personally) and confidentthat you will meet all compliance checks to obtain suitability as a Behaviour Support Practitioner for a registered NDIS provider (e.g. obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check)
* Demonstrated ability to work positively in a multidisciplinary team
* Outstanding communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
* Confident computer skills
* Flawlesswriting skills
* Current Drivers Licence and own reliable vehicle
