**About the role**:
Our client is a national organisation who has a fantastic company culture and provides flexible working conditions. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, hands-on Payroll Manager to join the company on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a hands-on payroll management position within a national organisation. The business is looking to streamline areas in the payroll function so you will help lead and drive the payroll projects over the coming few years.
**Your responsibilities include**:
- Manage the payroll function and ensure payroll is processed in a timely and accurate manner
- Coordinate, direct and control payroll preparation, processing and distribution
- Develop strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders (Executives, HR, Finance)
- Work collaboratively and as a team across departments
- Award interpretation
- multiple awards and EBAs
- Identify process improvements and implement these changes to establish a smooth payroll function
- Lead and drive the payroll system implementation project
- Prior experience managing a payroll function
- Driven and led payroll projects
- Worked with and used multiple EBAs and awards
- A good understanding of Superannuation and Payroll Tax laws and requirements
- A hands on and proactive attitude to support the payroll function
