About us:
SACU is a 48-bed off site unit, classified as a ward of the hospital, in a residential like setting for adults and older persons. We promote rehabilitation, restorative care and recovery towards discharge home or to other discharge options.
We provide targeted multidisciplinary care aimed at providing optimisation of the patients functioning and quality of life, with a rehabilitation and gerontic focus. We also provide dedicated dementia and delirium care to patients with specialised needs.
About your role:
Implementation of risk management and care plans.
Routine and complex medication management and administration.
Complex wound care.
Phlebotomy, cannulation and IV management.
Recognising and responding to deteriorating patients.
Patient education.
