Senior Formulation/Process Scientist
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Formulation/Process Scientist to join our Technical Services Team in Carole Park.
* This role will oversee technical and formulation knowledge for product transfers, new product launches, validations, and process improvement activities.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in pharmaceutical experience with emphasis on drug development, process development, and manufacturing.
The selected candidate will also possess excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to draw inferences, and follow prescribed procedures to solve moderately complex problems.
In addition, the successful candidate will be required to hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 5 years of experience in a related field. A combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversight of technical and formulation knowledge for product transfers, new product launches, validations, and process improvement activities.
2. Management of multiple projects, directing planning and development of troubleshooting initiatives, and formulation and process improvement activities at Carole Park manufacturing sites.
3. Participation in the introduction of new products or product health projects.
4. Review of annual product reviews and assistance in defining corrective actions.
5. Review and approval of manufacturing investigations related to product quality, engineering trials, and validation protocols and reports.
6. Assistance in educating and training local technical services and manufacturing personnel in formulation process control, and design concepts.
7. Writing and reviewing formal reports regarding product launch, investigation, process improvement, status, and resolution.
8. Development of investigation strategies, and driving project timelines as necessary.
9. Collaboration with an interdepartmental team to support local investigation and validation priorities.
10. Maintenance of current knowledge with global regulatory guidelines, compendial requirements, and technical investigations.
About You
* A background in pharmaceutical experience with emphasis on drug development, process development, and manufacturing is essential.
* Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to solve complex problems through semi-standardized solutions.
* Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
* A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 5 years of experience in a related field. A combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
* Maths knowledge is required, including the ability to perform statistical computations.
