This is a 12 month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, ****.
Located in Geraldton, a vibrant coastal town 400 km north of Perth, the Meekatharra School of The Air (MSOTA) delivers innovative online education to students travelling across Australia or living on cattle stations near Mount Magnet and Meekatharra.
MSOTA is looking for a passionate Primary Teacher to join their school.
The current vacancy is for a Year 2/3 class.
The Role
Teach English and Mathematics via Webex for up to three hours, Monday to Thursday.
Plan, assess and prepare lessons independently, without the constant interruptions of a traditional classroom.
Collaborate closely with parents (home tutors) to provide daily support and maintain daily communication.
Support students attending camps on site in Geraldton and occasional annual family visits.
Qualifications
Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
Valid West Australian Working with Children Check.
Experience delivering explicit literacy and numeracy instruction, strong differentiation skills.
Desirable: experience with the Sounds Write professional learning program.
Proficiency in using online learning platforms such as Webex and Seesaw.
