Job Summary
The Mechanical Technician is responsible for fabricating, installing, calibrating, testing, and repairing mechanical equipment and systems. This job profile is intended for entry-level support staff who follow specific instructions and procedures, with supervision provided for non-routine situations. This job and its associated grade are specifically aligned with roles that have the following scope of responsibility: Small, Medium, Large, Division / Extra Large organization.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the installation and repair of mechanical systems.
* Calibrate and test mechanical equipment.
* Fabricate and assemble mechanical components.
* Follow maintenance schedules and safety protocols.
* Document work performed and report issues.
Skills & Qualifications
* May require basic vocational training (or equivalent work experience) and the ability to carry out assigned tasks after initial instruction or demonstration.
* Mechanical aptitude and hands‐on skills.
* Ability to read technical diagrams.
* Attention to detail and safety.
* Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
