The role
As the General Manager People and Culture, you will serve as the Department's Chief Human Resource Officer, playing a pivotal role in shaping and leading strategic human resource initiatives that will enhance our organisation's culture, including employee wellbeing and workforce capability.
Working closely with the Director General and Executive Leadership Group, you will provide high-level human resources advice to foster a high performing, empowered workforce aligned with our strategic goals.
Your experience managing multidisciplinary teams, will enable you to development and deliver a diverse human resources service, including talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee relations and organisational development.
This leadership position requires a seasoned HR professional with extensive experience, who can drive organisational effectiveness and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
With experience and knowledge in contemporary HR practices, trends, and challenges, you will craft impactful strategies that embody the public sector values, influence cross-functional leaders, and navigate complex change environments.
You will create a people-first culture, in a workplace that motivates, empowers, and develops diverse talent in line with departmental values.
