We're seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead
to lead our transport infrastructure projects and guide a high-performing team of designers and engineers. This is an opportunity to play a strategic role in major road, intersection, active transport and corridor upgrade projects across Adelaide, Regional SA and Australia.
About HDS Australia Pty Ltd
The Company is Australian owned and operated, with its headquarters in Trinity Gardens. A total of 14 full time or part time staff are presently engaged on a variety of consulting project or in support roles with 10 based in Adelaide, 2 in Victoria and 2 in NSW. Up to 15 additional personnel are employed on a casual basis to assist with a variety of traffic data and asset information collection tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning and detailed design of road and transport infrastructure projects from concept through to delivery.
Provide technical leadership across geometric design, road safety, traffic engineering interfaces and design standards.
Oversee multidisciplinary coordination and ensure design quality, compliance and innovation.
Mentor and develop a team of engineers and designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Engage with clients, stakeholders and government agencies, representing the consultancy at a senior level.
Contribute to bids, proposals, and strategic business planning.
About You
Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) with Engineers Australia (mandatory).
Significant experience in road design within an Australian consultancy environment.
Proficiency with relevant design software (e.g., 12d, AutoCAD).
Strong understanding of Austroads, DIT (SA) standards and transport planning interfaces.
Proven leadership capability with a passion for developing others.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and project leadership skills.
