About Us: Ottoman Cuisine is a much-loved Canberra restaurant, located in the heart of Canberra.
We are looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager that will connect with our customers and help lead our front of house team with enthusiasm. Ottoman Cuisine has a reputation for exceptional food, friendly and fuss free professional service. This would be a great opportunity for an exceptional front of house professional looking to progress to management within the hospitality industry.
Although we are a hatted restaurant, we don't rest on our laurels.
We are always innovating and leading the food scene in our own category with some exciting new projects coming in 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
* As a front of house leader, you’ll be working alongside our Executive Chef to deliver excellent service & customer experience at the famous Ottoman restaurant.
* Day to day running of the restaurant - SET UP & SERVICE
* Order stock & control stock levels & manage roster
* Make sure the venue is clean & ready for service
* Must be able to run a section + manage staff efficiently
* Complete daily jobs, as well as long term tasks
Customer Service:
* customer focused in order to ensure an exceptional dining experience.
* provide friendly and efficient service and resolve any issues in a professional manner.
* train staff to a hatted restaurant level, constantly monitor to improve service quality.
Experience & Qualifications:
* experienced front of house with at least 2 years restaurant experience
* mus focus on the customer experience;
* a great communicator, someone who is a good communicator
* must be creative, confident and well presented
* detail-oriented, with excellent organisational and time management skills;
* cool and calm under pressure because we are a busy restaurant;
