purpose
Reporting to the Head of Strategic Communications, the Senior Communications Adviser will contribute to the planning and delivery of high-quality and impactful communications, brand, PR and media, promoting the government and Authority's projects and achievements.
The Senior Communications Adviser will develop and manage a PR, media and events plan that identifies opportunities across the organisation's program of infrastructure projects. This includes proactively identifying external media & PR opportunities, co-ordinating speaking events and developing briefing packages for senior stakeholders.
You will develop an external communications strategy that raises the profile of the organisation and our CEO with critical stakeholders including senior executive, media, health services, department agencies, building and infrastructure stakeholders and Ministerial offices.
The Senior Communications Adviser will help develop and manage a Ministerial events plan that identifies opportunities across the organisation's program of infrastructure projects. This includes identifying and co-ordinating Ministerial events and developing briefing packages, media releases, Q&A documents, background briefing forms, speaking notes and logistics management with internal and external stakeholders. They will take a lead role coordinating with state-wide health services to organise logistics and event planning – attending key media events in person to provide critical support.
The Senior Communications Adviser will also develop and maintain up-to-date key messages and contribute to the creation of branded written and visual assets to enable effective communication across the branch and department's multiple channels.

Qualifications
A tertiary qualification in fields related to communications and media or associated disciplines would be an advantage.
