Job Title: Crisis Support Advocate
As a Crisis Support Advocate, you will provide critical support to women experiencing family violence in Alice Springs.
This role involves providing trauma-informed assistance at court, assessing immediate safety risks and developing personalized safety plans, making referrals to relevant community support services, and preparing thorough reports based on client safety assessments.
Key responsibilities also include assisting clients with housing and tenancy applications, responding to lawyer and staff referrals for non-legal support needs, conducting risk assessments, and collaborating with child protection services as required. Additionally, maintaining accurate and confidential client records is essential.
About You:
* A relevant tertiary qualification in social work or an equivalent discipline is necessary.
* Experience in a similar support role is highly valued.
* Knowledge of working with individuals affected by DFV and the NT family violence service system is valuable.
* Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and cultural safety is crucial.
