Paspaley Pearling Company are currently looking for Pearl Divers to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for highly dedicated, reliable, and motivated individual to join a multifaceted family-owned business that spans across Pearling, Retail, Pastoral and Properties.
You will be expected to reside in Darwin, Australia and work on a FIFO basis to our remote Pearl Farms. The rosters may vary depending on locations therefore flexibility is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Undertaking diverse diving activities critical to daily pearling operations.
Assist with general fleet/farm work and deckhand duties.
Ensure daily safety inspections of dive and PPE equipment and periodically undertake safety drills.
Ensure records are kept of all dives conducted by Divers.
Use tools and equipment underwater to complete tasks.
Qualifications
Possession of a rescue diver qualification or equivalent deliver by an RTO.
A current Occupational Dive medical (AS/NZS ****) or ability to obtain one.
Current First Aid and Oxygen Resuscitation Certificate.
Experience & Skills
At least one years' relevant full-time work experience.
Ability to work at sea and in remote locations, and to live in close quarters aboard a vessel.
Ability to work for long periods of time & maintain concentration.
High Standards of hygiene.
Full training will be provided but the ideal candidates will have the following attributes:
