We are expanding our team and now seeking a motivated Nurse and a Medical Receptionist to join our growing practice.
Positions Available
1. Medical Receptionist
As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and creating a warm, welcoming experience for every visitor.
Key Responsibilities
* Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
* Manage phone calls, appointment bookings, and patient enquiries
* Process new patient registrations and maintain accurate medical records
* Handle billings, Medicare claims, and EFTPOS transactions
* Support doctors and nurses with administrative tasks as required
* Maintain a clean, organised, and professional reception area
* Manage emails, correspondence, and document filing
* Follow clinic policies, procedures, and infection control standards
Essential Skills & Experience
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong organisational and time-management abilities
* Confident computer skills (Microsoft Office and general IT literacy)
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Professional presentation and a caring, friendly attitude
Desirable
* Previous experience in medical reception or healthcare administration
* Familiarity with Best Practice or similar medical software
* Knowledge of Medicare billing processes
2. Practice Nurse (Registered or Enrolled Nurse)
We're looking for a compassionate and dedicated Practice Nurse to provide high-quality clinical support to our doctors and patients in a collaborative and caring environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform patient observations, dressings, immunisations, ECGs, and other clinical procedures
* Assist with care plans, health assessments, and chronic disease management
* Support doctors with procedures in the treatment room
* Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure infection control compliance
* Assist with stock management, sterilisation, and cold chain monitoring
* Work collaboratively with the medical and reception teams
Essential Skills & Experience
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse
* Excellent clinical skills and a patient-centred approach
* Strong attention to detail and time management
* Ability to thrive in a busy general practice environment
Desirable
* Previous experience in general practice or primary care
* Familiarity with Best Practice software
* Immunisation certification and knowledge of Medicare item numbers
