The Rehab, Aged Care and Neurology (RAN) Team Leader has operational responsibility for a team of 19 FTE Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants, and students across our Acute Neurology Ward and Stroke Unit, Rehabilitation inpatients and outpatients, and acute Aged Care wards (including a Behaviour Support Unit for patients exhibiting BPSD). This position combines clinical, operational and leadership responsibilities. The RAN Team Leader will have extensive skills and experience in Neurological Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation and/or Aged Care.
The Team Leader will work closely with the seniors in each area to lead, guide and manage the team. In addition, the department's three Team Leaders are an integral part of the leadership group with the Department Head, to planning and manage the department's physiotherapy service.
The Physiotherapy Department has three Team Leaders, forming an integral leadership relationship with the Head of Department, contributing equally to the planning and management across the department's physiotherapy service. The RAN Team Leader will work closely with the seniors in neurology, rehabilitation; and aged care to lead, guide and manage the team.

* Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and the Physiotherapy Board of Australia and demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning.
* Extensive clinical experience within Rehabilitation, Aged Care or Neurological Physiotherapy.
* Demonstrated ability to provide high level of guidance, leadership and management of resources and services equivalent to the complexities of the role.
* Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature.
* Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and demonstrate application of evidence based practice within their clinical area.
* Negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
* Current drivers licence (or a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).
