About the department
You will be joining the Novo Nordisk Medical Affairs team who are part of the Oceania Clinical, Medical, Regulatory (CMR) Department. The team plays a crucial role in driving strategic development and execution, providing insights to shape business decisions, leading scientific exchanges to support high-quality education, and identifying evidence gaps for key stakeholders. The team is in charge of ensuring the success of a growing diabetes portfolio, encompassing both established and pipeline products, and works closely under the leadership of the Medical Affairs Manager.

The position
As a Medical Advisor at Novo Nordisk, you will:
* Develop and drive the medical strategy to align with and support the overarching brand and business priorities.
* Facilitate KOL engagement in trials, identify new sites, conduct site education visits, support investigator-sponsored studies, and develop relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) for speaker engagements.
* Develop and conduct advisory boards, communicate scientific and clinical data, create and execute publication plans for assigned portfolios, present at national and international conferences, and engage external authors.
* Develop and implement the medical education strategy for assigned portfolios; review all commercial-led medical education meetings and accredited medical education; attend conferences and congresses.
* Conduct internal training; translate scientific information for internal stakeholders to assist with the development and implementation of strategy; approve promotional material; provide tailored medical responses.
Qualifications
* A PhD in life sciences, a Medical Degree (MD) or a postgraduate qualification in pharmacy or a life science is desired.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in medical affairs.
* Local industry experience or clinical experience relevant to the company's therapeutic interests in endocrinology and diabetes and/or rare diseases, is preferred.
* Familiarity with TGA and other local regulatory guidelines is required.
* Must either be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
