Your New Role and Responsibilities
The Capacity Manager is accountable for the capacity management function for storage and virtual hosting services delivered by Leidos to multiple government departments. The role ensures storage and virtual hosting capacity is planned, provisioned, monitored, and optimised to meet ATO business demand, contracted service levels, and cost objectives.
The role provides end‐to‐end oversight of storage and virtual hosting allocation, ensuring that capacity decisions are transparent, governed, and aligned to processes. The Capacity Manager acts as the authoritative point for storage and virtual hosting capacity forecasting, lifecycle planning, and capacity‐related decision support across Leidos, customer teams, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain capacity models for storage and virtual hosting, including utilisation, forecasting and risk identification.
* Translate business demand into validated capacity requirements and ensure forecasts inform procurement, lifecycle planning and budgeting.
* Govern capacity allocation processes, ensuring all changes are assessed, approved and aligned with standards.
* Monitor performance, availability and capacity risks, driving optimisation and mitigation actions across infrastructure teams.
* Deliver reporting, stakeholder input and support for incidents, audits, lifecycle planning and strategic capacity management initiatives.
About You and What You'll Bring
* Demonstrated experience in ITIL Capacity Management within large-scale enterprise or government environments.
* Strong understanding of capacity modelling, forecasting, trend analysis and lifecycle planning for enterprise platforms.
* Ability to communicate complex technical capacity insights in a clear, business-focused manner.
* Experience working within formal governance, change and regulated environments, including multi-provider infrastructure (on-premises and cloud).
* Proficiency in reporting and visualisation tools (e.g. Grafana), with relevant ITIL certification or equivalent experience.
This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold a minimum Baseline level security clearance.
