Job Title: Business Development Manager, JLL Technologies
Location: Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane
Reports to: TBD
Role Purpose: The Business Development Manager will be a key driver of growth for JLL Technologies, focusing on generating new leads, securing client meetings, and creating a robust pipeline of opportunities for our suite of corporate real estate technology solutions, software, and platforms. This role requires a proactive and strategic individual with a passion for technology and a deep understanding of the corporate real estate landscape. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and engaging with prospective clients, understanding their challenges, and positioning JLL\'s technology offerings as the ideal solution. The role will work closely with sales leaders and account executives across Australia and South East Asia.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead Generation & Prospecting: Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities through various means, including outbound prospecting campaigns, networking, and leveraging internal JLL business lines.
* Market Research & Strategy: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to develop and execute targeted business development strategies.
* Client Engagement: Secure introductory meetings with key decision-makers, including Heads of Corporate Real Estate, C-suite executives, and IT leaders, to present JLL\'s technology value proposition.
* Opportunity Qualification: Facilitate initial discovery calls to understand client pain points and identify opportunities to enhance their corporate real estate technology stack, translating these into qualified business opportunities.
* Pipeline Management: Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline to meet and exceed revenue targets, meticulously tracking all activities and progress in the CRM system.
* Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and product development teams to create compelling proposals, presentations, and targeted campaigns that effectively address client needs.
* Internal Networking: Build and maintain strong relationships across all JLL functions and business lines to ensure a streamlined and collaborative client engagement process.
* Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities.
Skills & Experience
* Experience: Proven experience in a business development or sales capacity, preferably within the SaaS, PropTech, or corporate real estate technology sector.
* Industry Knowledge: A general understanding of the commercial and corporate real estate industry, including facilities management, portfolio services, and workplace management. Not essential.
* Sales Acumen: Demonstrated ability to generate leads, qualify prospects, and build a strong sales pipeline.
* Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives and presentations for executive-level audiences.
* Networking: Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to connect with key decision-makers.
* Tech Savvy: Proficient in using CRM software and other sales and marketing tools such as ZoomInfo and Salesloft. A general passion for and understanding of technology and its application in the real estate industry is crucial.
* Self-Motivated: A high-energy, self-starting individual who is ambitious and results-oriented.
* Education: A bachelor\'s degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
