Healthfix | North Sydney
Salary: $80,000 – $95,000 + Super (based on experience)
This isn't just another group fitness role. If you've worked in BFT, The Yard Gym, CrossFit or similar, you already know how to run great sessions and build energy on the floor.
What you may not have had yet is the opportunity to:
* Take ownership of the full member experience
* Contribute to programming and coaching standards
* Work within a more structured, performance-driven health environment
That's what this role offers.
About Healthfix
There's a gap in the industry. Plenty of gyms deliver high-energy classes, but very few connect strength and fitness with expert healthcare and long-term outcomes.
Healthfix was established in 2011 to bridge that gap. Our founder, Sean Cooney, has extensive experience working in high‐performance environments and is the current Head of Performance Health for NSW's Institute of Sport.
We combine:
* Strength & conditioning
* Group training
* Exercise physiology
* Sports physiotherapy
* Rehabilitation
To deliver structured, outcome-driven training that supports long‐term performance and health.
Now, we're looking to take this model to the next level — scaling it to provide better access to more of the community.
What Makes This Different
Studios like BFT, TYG and CrossFit deliver great training environments. Healthfix builds on that foundation.
Here, you'll work alongside:
* Sports Physiotherapists
* Exercise Physiologists
* Strength & Conditioning Coaches
Our programs are designed not just for intensity and high engagement but also for:
* Injury prevention
* Sustainable progression
* High‐level performance
This is where group training meets performance health.
The Role
You'll take ownership across three key areas:
Coaching & Class Delivery
* Deliver high‐quality group training sessions
* Set the standard for coaching, structure and communication
* Lead from the front in creating a high‐performing training environment
Programming & Coach Development
* Assist in the design and implementation of training programs
* Uphold a performance‐based approach to progression and injury prevention
* Mentor and develop other coaches
Member Experience & Community
* Oversee the full member experience from enquiry through to long‐term engagement
* Build strong relationships and a connected, high‐performing training environment
* Coordinate and execute outreach and marketing initiatives to attract new members
* Support front‐of‐house operations, intake and bookings
About You
You're an experienced coach ready to step into a bigger role. You likely:
* Have 3+ years experience in BFT, F45, CrossFit or similar
* Are confident leading group training environments
* Want more ownership than just delivering sessions
You bring:
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* High levels of organisation and planning
* A self‐driven, accountable approach
* The ability to work autonomously and take initiative
Qualifications
Required:
* Cert III & IV in Fitness
* First Aid & CPR
Desirable:
* ASCA Level 1 or 2 (Strength & Conditioning)
* Experience in customer sales and converting enquiries into members
* Experience mentoring or leading other coaches
Why Join Healthfix?
* Step into a lead role, not just another coaching job
* Work in a more professional, health‐integrated environment
* Be part of a team focused on long‐term outcomes, not short‐term intensity
* Develop your skills across coaching, programming, leadership and operations
