Project Overview:

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km non-stop traffic light-free motorway in Adelaide.

The project involves constructing two separate tunnels and surface works including road and bridge construction, services buildings, and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure.

Job Description:
\
As a Plant Engineer, you will support all aspects of plant operations for foundations and bridge construction, ensuring safe efficient and reliable use of plant and equipment.
\
You will act as the technical interface between site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, providing practical solutions, coordinating logistics, and supporting project delivery to meet schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
\
Key Responsibilities:
\

* Plan mobilise and coordinate heavy plant and equipment for piling foundations and bridge construction
\
* Monitor utilisation performance and implement preventative maintenance programs
\
* Provide technical advice on plant selection capabilities and safe operating procedures
\
* Respond to breakdowns and support repairs modifications and upgrades
\
* Liaise with subcontractors suppliers and logistics teams to manage plant operations
\
* Maintain accurate records of inspections servicing compliance and utilisation
\
* Support lift studies equipment planning and WHS environmental and quality compliance
\
* Assist with procurement supplier engagement and forecasting plant requirements to align with construction programs
\
* Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
\
* Collaborate with site teams to identify opportunities for process improvement
\
Requirements:
\
2-3 years' site experience in plant engineering civil or infrastructure projects
\
Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
\
Strong understanding of heavy plant and equipment used in foundations and bridge construction
\
Ability to interpret engineering drawings plant specifications and maintenance schedules
\
Practical problem-solver with strong organisational skills and attention to detail
\
Confident communicator with the ability to engage and build rapport with subcontractors suppliers and site teams
\
Flexible and proactive with a willingness to work across both site and office environments
\
Strong safety-first mindset with knowledge of WHS standards and safe work practices
\
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment
\
Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
