The role of Senior Business Analyst is critical in driving strategic change and improving client experience within the Queensland Government.
\
This position will be responsible for investigating, defining, and analyzing business requirements for ICT enabled initiatives, managed activities, or projects. This includes facilitating meetings and workshops with multi-disciplinary teams to elicit requirements, evaluate processes, and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
\
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will establish and maintain strong business relationships, collaborate with, consult, and influence both business and technical stakeholders to effectively discover, define, validate, prioritize, and continuously manage requirements that translate into business benefits.
\
You will apply appropriate business analysis frameworks and promote the use of techniques, methodologies, and tools aligned with Business Analysis Body of Knowledge. Additionally, you will identify project delivery issues and risks, assist with mitigation strategies, and escalate where necessary.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and mentor fellow team members is essential for this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* Proficiency in creating process flow diagrams, business process modeling (BPMN), and understanding process optimization techniques.
\
* Skill in eliciting and documenting clear, concise, and comprehensive business requirements using techniques such as interviews, workshops, and prototyping.
\
* Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile development methodologies and software development, from requirements gathering through to testing and deployment.
\
* Capability to write technical documentation, user manuals, and other project-related documentation that is clear and understandable.
\
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes of issues and propose effective solutions.
\
* Skills to negotiate priorities and resolve conflicts among stakeholders with different interests and objectives.
\
* Capability to work collaboratively in a team environment, including cross-functional teams, and to build consensus around proposed solutions.
