Your new role:
As the Senior Student Experience Coordinator, Communications and Engagement you will play a critical role in supporting students throughout their academic journey and student experience. You will focus on ensuring successful transitions to and within the University, early-stage progression, and engagement across the student lifecycle of the Faculty of Business and Law student cohorts. The Communication and Engagement Team leads a strategic, student-first communications approach that goes beyond generic messaging. Every communication is thoughtfully tailored for FBL students - delivered at the right time, to the right cohort, with the right tone. Whether it’s guidance on major selection, reminders to enrol in the right units, or prompts to register for employability workshops, each message is aligned with key academic and engagement milestones.
The communications and Engagement team manage segmented communication campaigns, digital content creation, platform and channel management, reporting and use analytics supporting engagement and impact. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Director, Student Engagement, to create, administer, monitor, and report on the Faculty of Business and Law Engagement plans yearly.
Some Responsibilities May Include:
- Manage, plan, develop and implement communications strategies and projects in line with the Faculty’s student experiences strategies.
- Effectively communicate the Faculty’s engagement initiatives and strategies to key stakeholders through presentations, meetings and documentation
- Coordinate mechanisms to capture and represent the student voice, including focus groups, consultations, surveys, and other feedback channels, to inform Faculty initiatives and enhance the overall student experience.
- Proactively promote the Faculty’s student experience portfolio to increase student participation in Faculty student experience programs and activities, such as supporting Clubs and Societies, Students As Partners and more.
- Report, analyse and optimise all content produced, and share results with relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and monitor governance across a range of current student digital channels to ensure a culture of best-practice.
- Liaise and collaborate with Student Services, University Marketing, Curtin Global and/or Student Lifecycle Experience staff, as relevant.
- Undertake other activities which the incumbent might reasonably be expected to do, and which are consistent with the accountabilities and responsibilities as listed above.
As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role.
