Overview
We're looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at The Wooli Tavern in Cape Woolamai, Victoria. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth within our organisation.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development and food preparation
* Overseeing kitchen staff, delegating tasks and ensuring quality control
* Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
* Ordering supplies and managing inventory
* Collaborating with the front-of-house team to ensure excellent customer service
* Providing training and mentorship to junior kitchen staff
What we're looking for
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices
* Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
* Ability to work well under pressure and lead a team
* Creative flair and a passion for delivering high-quality dishes
* Qualifications in Hospitality
