We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician who brings their experience within manufacturing to utilise their mechanical skills to ensure our machines and equipment remain in peak working condition through use of corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance techniques.
This role joins our existing team of 4 Technicians who work co-operatively across the manufacturing site.
You will need to be able to diagnose and repair faults to ensure manufacturing at the site has an uninterrupted flow, as well as handling any day-to-day repairs and maintenance tasks across the site, services, plant and equipment.
As we are a specialist manufacturer that produces critical care medicines, we are ideally looking for someone with experience working with similar pharmaceutical environments where possible, i.e working in cleanroom environments.
The vacancy of Maintenance Technician is a permanent full-time opportunity on day shift which generally works Mon-Fri (though occasional weekend paid overtime is sometimes available), based on-site at the manufacturing facility in Lane Cove, and reporting to our Asset Manager.
The position will involve, but not be limited to, the following duties:
Performing preventative maintenance tasks relating to equipment, critical systems and services such as purified water systems, HVAC, autoclaves, boilers, filling and packaging plant equipment, trade waste systems.
Attending to any breakdowns and troubleshooting faults on equipment, critical systems and services.
Analyse and report on breakdown root causes and any concerns to management.
Adhere to preventative maintenance schedule.
Coordinate maintenance and repair activities with external service providers as required.
Ensure all documentation of works are maintained within the CMMS in a cGMP compliant change control environment.

Who are we looking for?
Our ideal candidate would have:
Technical proficiency in equipment maintenance with trade qualification and at least 3 years of experience.
At least 2 years of experience within pharmaceutical or similarly regulated environment (eg, veterinary, medical device or large-scale food manufacturing) with good knowledge of cGMP or similar system requirements.
Knowledge and experience with systems and services such as:
Purified water systems
Boilers
Filling and packaging equipment
Autoclave equipment
Trade waste systems
Knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and a basic use experience as a minimum.
Competence with computerised control systems used for equipment operation and facility monitoring.
Good written and verbal communication skills with ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
