Support Professional Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Support Professional to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities, supporting them to live safely, independently, and with dignity.

The role will involve providing day-to-day support within the community, assisting with personal care routines, meal preparation, and domestic tasks. You will also offer transport and social support, helping participants access community activities, appointments, and social connections.

Key responsibilities include:

* Providing person-centered support to enable individuals to reach their aspirations and lead fulfilling lives.
* Assisting with personal care routines, including hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
* Supporting with meal preparation and domestic tasks to promote health and daily living skills.
* Offering transport and social support to enable participants to access community activities, appointments, and social connections.

Requirements for the role include:

* A genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
* Empathy, compassion, and emotional resilience, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
* Adaptability and patience, especially when responding to complex needs, behavioral challenges, or evolving care requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have a Certificate III Individual Support/Disability or be studying towards this qualification. A minimum of 2 years' industry experience is also required. Ideally, you will have a valid Victorian Driver's License and be authorized to work in Victoria.
