**Job Title:** Electronic Repair Technician
**About the Job**
We are seeking a skilled Electronic Repair Technician to facilitate the effective and efficient repair of failed equipment at our National Repair and Calibration Centre (NRCC). The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting equipment repairs to component level, ensuring that maintenance records are up-to-date, and providing reports on asset movements and repairs completed.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Conduct equipment repairs to component level
* Ensure that maintenance records are accurately updated in a timely manner
* Assist field teams with remote and onsite repairs, modifications, upgrades, and technical troubleshooting
* Research and develop component replacements for obsolete or non-supported components
* Provide reports on asset movements, repairs completed, and issues affecting timely repairs
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of competency level repairs, including advanced soldering techniques. They should also have exceptional hand skills for surface mount device (SMD) repairs, be able to determine circuit/module function without schematic diagrams, and have knowledge of test equipment required for the repair and testing of modern broadcast equipment. Computer literacy, particularly with electronic repair tickets and database management systems, is also essential.
