**Job Title:** Regional Financial Controller
EDMI is looking for a highly skilled financial professional to join our team as a Regional Financial Controller. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial and accounting functions of our business.
**Responsibilities:**
* Manage and lead the ANZ Finance team, ensuring cohesive and collaborative work dynamics.
* Lead and oversee financial operations and adherence to IFRS accounting standards and company policies with an insistence on clear governance and compliance.
* Prepare and present accurate financial reports and statutory returns.
* Collaborate with global offices to support financial objectives and processes locally and globally.
* Serve as a key point of contact for financial audits and intercompany accounting matters.
* Be a hands-on leader with a passion for developing and evolving your team's capability.
* Build risk and compliance capabilities including basic legal knowledge for project management and monitoring.
* Partner with the Executive Director of ANZ to develop business strategies for regional expansion, including M&A opportunities.
* Be the 2IC to Financial Director APAC, providing advice and guidance on the finance function and people management.
* Oversee intercompany account matters and be involved in statutory tax reporting.
**Requirements:**
* Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification and hold CPA Membership (required).
* Have at least five years of full-time industry experience in accounting, including staff management.
* Demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills.
* Possess a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software.
* Exhibit clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team environment.
* Show a proactive attitude towards enforcing process and policy compliance.
* Have strong working SAP experience and understand working in multiple currencies, transfer pricing, Tax and treasury.
* Demonstrate strong collaboration skills to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes across the business.
* Have hands-on experience of ERP systems, flows and processes and how they deliver a high level of accurate governance, results and data.
* Have large company experience.
* Have strong inventory knowledge and experience overseeing payroll.
* Be proactive and passionate about delivering continual improvement.
* Be a clear and effective communicator with the ability to explain concepts across various areas of the business.
