Responsibilities
* Deliver first‑class service to our customers
* Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products
* Diagnose and repair Cummins engines
* Engine rebuilding and reconditioning
* Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues/ incidents to the Supervisor
* Complete required documentation such as service worksheets, warranty claims, quality forms or business system input screens

* Electrical knowledge – demonstrates knowledge of Cummins and industry standards on working with low and/or high voltage, complies with safe work procedures, applies basic electrical theories and electronics components knowledge using appropriate tools etc.
* Electronic service tool application – identifies the suite of available hardware and software tools required for a service event; utilises the appropriate electronic tool set; interprets electronic tool results or recommendations to determine next steps
* Mechanical knowledge – demonstrates knowledge of Cummins and industry standards; complies with safe work procedures; applies mechanical principles using appropriate tools
* Product repair and maintenance – repairs and maintains mechanical/electrical products following guidelines; allows disassembly and assembly of engines or power generators; inspects and replaces parts and components; performs progressive damage check
* Service documentation – creates and verifies customer, equipment and technical information; captures specific data; follows procedures and documents required information in the service management system
* Technical escalation – obtains product technical issue information; utilizes available resources; escalates issues to higher level of expertise; captures troubleshooting steps in database
* Values differences – recognising the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization
Education, Licenses, Certifications
* WA driver's licence (preferred)
* Australian working rights
* Mechanical trades qualified as Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Light vehicle mechanic or plant mechanic (light/heavy/engine reconditioning)
* Experience as a technician in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products
* Ideally possess engine repair, rebuild or reconditioning experience
* Safety focused and ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (preferred)
* Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution
* Locally valid driving permit (preferred)
* This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations
Experience
* Minimal level of workshop experience required
* Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
