The opportunity

To supervise the daily operations of the payroll department, leading the team to ensure the timely and accurate processing of employee payments, whilst also ensuring compliance with taxation, superannuation, and employment laws.

Key Activities Of The Role Are To

Oversee the payroll teamMonitor and manage payroll data and ensure the accuracy of payroll recordsHigh volume Payroll processing, 1000+ employees per fortnightPayroll queriesPayroll journalsEnd of month processing including the payment of all associated payroll liabilitiesLodgement of returns/surveys as requiredPayroll policies and procedures regularly review and updated as required.Provide a high level of customer service to relevant payroll queries/improvement opportunitiesEngaging with multiple senior stakeholders, regulators & relevant authoritiesProvide support to the whole of Allambi on Payroll related regular internal audits of sample Payroll recordsFoster a culture of continuous improvementTraining payroll staff, as required

Essential Criteria

At least 5 years of Payroll experience and/or Certificate IV qualification in relevant discipline or equivalentWorking knowledge and background to multiple awards (SCHADs award preferred, but not essential) and workers compensation processing.Working knowledge of Dayforce and/or WFM systems experience is preferred, however not essentialEnd to end payroll experience ideally within a NFP or community sector.Well-developed customer service and communications skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change in a growing organisationIntermediate to advanced - Microsoft Excel skillsAttention to detailThe ability to both coach and mentor operations/other staffMust be a self-starter, highly motivated, and be able to work with minimal supervision
