Your Opportunity

* To deliver high level of client care, provide clinical expertise in breast ultrasound services provided by the BreastScreen Queensland Wide Bay Service.

Qualifications and other requirements

* For Sonographer: Mandatory possession of a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification from a registered tertiary institution as a Sonographer recognised by ASAR and Accreditation with the Australian Sonographers Accreditation Register (ASAR).
* For Radiographer/Sonographer: Mandatory possession of a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification, preferably in Medical Imaging Technology (Diagnostic Radiography), plus a Post Graduate Certificate in Breast Ultrasound recognised by the Australian Sonographers Accreditation Register (ASAR) and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.
* If Mammography is performed (Radiographer/Sonographer): Possession of a Certificate of Mammography Practice (CMP) issued by the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT) or equivalent, or the ability to attain one within twelve months of commencing employment and Radiation Use License issued by Queensland Health - Radiation Health.
* Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
* This position may require you to work staggered shifts (early and late) and/or Saturdays as per Service delivery requirements.
