Herberton Hospital is a 38-bed rural hospital providing patient centred palliative care, aged and respite care, as well as high, low, and complex dementia treatment. Inpatient services are well integrated with the primary health services provided by Atherton Community and Allied Health Services. Herberton Hospital also provides a nurse led outpatient clinic for dressings and walk-in emergency cases.

About your role:
* Maintain a high standard of customer service when responding to general front reception enquiries for the hospital, answering all incoming telephone calls and ensuring accurate transfer of messages and information to support patients and staff. As the primary contact for the hospital, assist and direct visitors and provide an effective and courteous front counter service.
* Grow and engage with new programs and processes adopted within the health service, with an open mind and willingness to learn.
* Conduct patient interviews to verify information and financial details to complete the Patient Election Form (PEF) process and provide fully informed financial advice to all patients and families on admission. Offer patient choice to Private Hospital Insurance holders and offer in house benefits where appropriate.
