Join our award‐winning IT Services business as a Workshop Engineer, where you'll learn hands‐on from some of the best hardware engineers in the industry while building strong technical foundations.
This is an onsite hands‐on role, working within our workshop environment and supporting our Field Engineering teams by ensuring hardware is tested, prepared and ready to keep our customers up and running.
What you'll do
* Test, inspect and validate IT hardware to ensure it is fit for service call availability
* Prepare and manage stock used by Field Services Engineers
* Work across a broad range of enterprise hardware including servers, storage and networking equipment
* Assist engineers and managers with ad‐hoc technical and operational support
You'll receive structured training across multiple vendors and technologies, making this role ideal for someone keen to grow their technical capability in a practical environment.
What you'll bring
* Experience diagnosing, repairing and supporting IT hardware in a technical support environment
* A genuine interest in IT and hardware systems
* Ability to work across multiple vendors (e.g. HP, Dell, IBM, Cisco, NetApp, EMC)
* A customer‐first mindset with strong attention to detail
* A team‐focused approach and willingness to support others
* You must be an Australian Citizen
Nice to have (but not essential)
* Experience with enterprise servers or storage
* Exposure to Cisco hardware or certifications
* Knowledge of Windows, Linux or Unix operating systems
