We are seeking a qualified Sheet Metal Worker to join our manufacturing team in South Geelong, Victoria. This permanent, full-time position is essential for ensuring the production of high-quality roofing and rainwater components. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sheet metal fabrication and a commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards within our operations.
Responsibilities:
* Interpret technical drawings and specifications to fabricate roofing and rainwater components
* Operate various machinery and tools, including shears, brakes, and welders, to shape and assemble steel parts
* Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with specifications
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
* Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and efficiency
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 3 years' experience as sheet metal worker in a similar environment
* Completed apprenticeship in sheet metal work or equivalent qualification is preferred
* Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings
* Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and tools
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Conditions:

* Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week, overtime available
