Job Description
* Aid in the implementation, and maintenance of quality systems in compliance with ISO9001, ASME, AS/ISO3834, AS5131 CC3, and other applicable standards.
* Lead quality deliverables for individual projects, including development of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Plans, Weld Procedures, Welder Qualifications, Manufacturer Data Records (MDRs), and project-specific documentation.
* Drive accreditation processes and ensure ongoing compliance with ASME and ISO systems.
* Monitor and raise concerns of quality issues in production, supporting corrective and preventive actions (NCR process).
* Manage and participate in internal, external, and supplier quality audits.
* Liaise with clients, auditors, and external parties regarding quality requirements and compliance.
* Support continuous improvement through the application of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and quality-related initiatives.
* Actively participate in production meetings to provide input on quality considerations.
Qualifications
* Relevant certifications highly regarded:
o AS 1796 Certificate 10 (Welding Supervisor – Pressure Equipment)
o AS 2214 Welding Supervisor (Structural Steel)
o IIW IWI-E / IIW IWI-S
o CSWIP 3.2 Senior Welding Inspector
* Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Quality Engineering (desirable, not essential).
* 5+ years' experience in a QA/QC role within a manufacturing environment.
* Proven knowledge of quality systems and standards: ISO9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001, ASME, ISO3834, AS5131 CC3.
* Internal and external auditing experience/qualifications.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated leadership experience.
* Strong problem-solving, analytical, and computer literacy skills.
