We are seeking a talented Information Security Engineer/Forensic Analyst with specialized expertise in digital forensics tools and incident response to join our financial services client. As an Information Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in securing the institution's data and systems, ensuring they remain resilient against cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting digital forensics investigations to identify and respond to security incidents promptly.
Utilizing a variety of digital forensics tools to analyse and extract evidence from different types of digital devices and storage media.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance incident response capabilities and develop response strategies.
Analysing security incidents to determine the root cause, impact, and extent of the breach.
Developing and documenting incident response procedures and best practices.
Assisting in the implementation of security measures to prevent future incidents.
Staying up-to-date with the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and digital forensics methodologies.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
Proven experience working as an Information Security Engineer or in a similar role.
Demonstrated expertise in digital forensics tools such as EnCase, Autopsy, The Sleuth Kit, Volatility, and Wireshark.
Strong experience in incident response and handling various security incidents.
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, threat landscape, and emerging technologies.
Familiarity with financial industry regulations and compliance standards is a plus.
Industry certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Qualified (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) are advantageous.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
