**Position Overview**:
Seeking an experienced and motivated HR Manager to join the team and oversee the human resources functions specific to the NDIS sector. The HR Manager will play a critical role in managing employee relations, compliance, recruitment, and development within the context of the NDIS framework. This position requires a strong understanding of NDIS regulations and the ability to effectively support a diverse team dedicated to high-quality client care.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Compliance and Policy Management**:
- Ensure all HR practices and policies comply with NDIS standards, regulations, and legislative requirements.
- Develop, implement, and review HR policies and procedures tailored to the NDIS environment.
- Stay updated on changes in NDIS guidelines and relevant employment laws, ensuring the organization remains compliant.
- **Recruitment and Onboarding**:
- Lead and oversee the recruitment team
- Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring they are effectively integrated into the organisation and receive necessary training related to NDIS standards.
- **Employee Relations**:
- Address and resolve employee grievances and conflicts, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Foster a positive work environment and culture that aligns with the organisation's values and NDIS principles.
- **Training and Development**:
- Identify training needs and coordinate development programs to enhance employees' skills and knowledge, particularly in relation to NDIS services and compliance.
- Ensure all staff are up-to-date with mandatory NDIS training and certifications.
- **Performance Management**:
- Implement and manage performance appraisal systems, providing feedback and support to staff to help them achieve their professional goals.
- Develop and monitor performance improvement plans and manage disciplinary actions if necessary.
- **HR Administration**:
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in accordance with legal and NDIS requirements.
- Manage payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant guidelines.
- **Organisational Development**:
- Collaborate with senior management to align HR strategies with organisational goals and the evolving needs of the NDIS sector.
- Support workforce planning and development initiatives to address future staffing needs and operational changes.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification is a plus.
- Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in an HR management role, with significant exposure to NDIS or similar sectors.
- Strong understanding of NDIS regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and manage conflicts effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
