Quality and Design Coordinator
This role is for someone looking to advance in quality or technical manufacturing. You will lead tooling development, product quality and continuous improvement initiatives within an established Australian manufacturer, while working in a safe and supportive environment. This role offers long-term stability, a strong team culture and the opportunity to influence quality and production outcomes from day one.
Base pay range
A$80,000.00/yr - A$90,000.00/yr

What will you be doing?
* Overseeing tooling and die design, tuning and trialling
* Ensuring production readiness and optimisation of new tooling
* Managing technical quality in line with ISO 9001 and customer standards
* Conducting quality control tests and maintaining accurate records
* Investigating defects, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
* Supporting new product development and product trials
* Training supervisors and operators in quality processes
* Minimising scrap, improving efficiency and enhancing production methods
* Maintaining accurate data sheets, drawings and ERP information
* Participating in meetings and communicating technical outcomes
* Supporting OHS compliance and promoting safe work practices
What do you need?
* Experience in tooling, die design or technical manufacturing
* Experience in plastic manufacturing
* Understanding of ISO 9001 and quality management systems
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills
* Confident using measurement tools and quality equipment
* Strong communication skills and the ability to train others
* A continuous improvement mindset and attention to detail
* 2D CAD experience preferred
