We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic Student Support Officer/Admin (RTO/CRICOS) to join one of our client's team. As a Student Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing a range of support services to our students to ensure their academic success and well-being.
Responsibilities:
Provide academic, personal, and career counselling to students
Develop and implement support programs and initiatives to enhance student success
Monitor and track student progress, and implement strategies to address challenges
Collaborate with academic staff and faculty to ensure that students receive the necessary support
Process student admissions through student management system (aXcelerate or RTO Manager) & PRISMS
Provide a high level of customer service to students and staff
Follow-up on students who require academic support, and engage them in an intervention plan where required
Issue warning letters according to Institute's policies and procedures
Responding to and managing a range of student enquiries and issues
Coordinating and scheduling classes
Preparing student and trainer paperwork for courses
Data entry of student enrolments, attendance and student completions
Make sure that accurate testamurs and statements of attainment are being issued on completion as per AQF requirements
Auditing student files for compliance
Respond to student inquiries and complaints, and provide guidance and referrals as needed
Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress
Stay up-to-date with trends and best practices in student support services
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in education, counselling, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
3+ years of experience in student support services with an experience in Wisenet in Education/RTO with an experience in Wisenet.
Robust knowledge in student management and AVETMISS system, PRISM and other relevant software like aXcelerate or RTO Manager
Solid counselling and mentoring skills, with the ability to build rapport with students
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with staff, faculty, and other stakeholders
Knowledge of student support services and resources
Robust organizational and time-management skills
Passion for student success and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Experience:
Student Support Officer: 1 year (preferred)
