Our Team
The Thales Australia UVX business provides a range of engineering and technical solutions to the Australian Defence, including sonar devices, simulation training technology and secure communications.
The Role
As a Bid & Project Controller you will oversee the financial management of bids and projects, providing accurate financial analysis, risk management, and stakeholder collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Provide financial support for bids and projects, ensuring accurate analysis and risk management.
Validate financial components for Commitment Control Review and bid review gates.
Manage financial forecasting, revenue monitoring, and cost variance analysis.
Implement financial control structures, including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS).
Collaborate with project managers, controllers and sales administration to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
Prepare high-quality financial reports and deliverables in a timely manner.
Key Requirements
Bachelor of Commerce (or equivalent) in Accounting and CPA/CA certification.
Experience in financial management within large organisations, particularly in bids and projects.
Strong data analysis skills and ability to optimise business performance.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including customer-facing responsibilities.
Leadership experience in a finance-related role.
Australian Citizenship – required for security clearance.
Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance & ITAR clearance.
