* Salary Package: Lecturer (Level B) from $123,435 to $146,044 plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading

* Located at Macquarie University (Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde)

The School of Psychological Sciences is seeking suitably qualified academics to be actively involved in the development, curriculum design, teaching, and delivery of units in the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Psychology Courses within the School.

About You

You will have a tertiary and professional qualifications in psychology, and the capacity to design, deliver units and programs at both the undergraduate and the postgraduate levels. You will also have experience with, or a willingness to embrace, educational technology, blended learning and educational innovation.

We offer accredited undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Psychology with the largest suite of postgraduate programs in New South Wales.

The School sits under the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences (FMHHS) whose current education suite includes courses in clinical science, physiotherapy, medicine, exercise and sports science, public health, psychology, cognitive sciences, linguistics, audiology, and speech pathology. The Faculty forms part of MQ Health, an integrated academic health sciences enterprise which incorporates Macquarie University Hospital and primary and speciality clinics.

To be considered for this position, please apply online by submitting your CV and a separate (4-page maximum) cover letter that details how you meet each of the following selection criteria:

Essential Criteria for Level B (Lecturer)

* A PhD or equivalent tertiary qualifications in Psychology.
* Current registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Exceptional teaching skills and demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality learning and teaching, including the design, delivery, and management (including unit convening) of online and face-to-face content, lectures, tutorials, and assessments, with evidence of excellent student outcomes and reflective practice.
* Demonstrated experience in teaching in accredited psychology undergraduate courses including on topics such as introductory counselling skills, development, social and personality psychology, individual differences, and intercultural psychology. Applicants will be required to be capable of teaching across several of these topic areas.
* Demonstrated innovation in pedagogy, teaching practice, including assessments and curriculum development, especially in the design and delivery of existing and new programs for applied psychology assessment and counselling units.
* Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to relate to build an inclusive teaching and learning environment, and work effectively in a team environment.
* Evidence of successful delivery to diverse student cohorts and creating a superior student experience characterised by strong engagement at the undergraduate and / or postgraduate levels.
* Evidence of quality research coursework supervision including Honours.

Desirable

* Demonstrated experience in teaching evidence-based initial assessment and counselling skills across the lifespan, including children and adults.
