We are seeking a motivated Quality & Safety (QHSE) Officer to join our growing team. Full time position Monday to Friday with flexibility.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Quality & Safety Officer will play a key role in maintaining compliance, supporting inspections and audits, and ensuring a safe workplace for all employees. This is a hands-on role where attention to detail and proactive problem-solving are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management and continual improvement of the Integrated Quality Management System (ISO 9001 / ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 standards).
- Conduct in-process inspections, audits, and reporting on product quality.
- Assist with non-conformance reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Maintain WHS procedures, risk assessments, and incident reporting systems.
- Conduct site safety walks, toolbox talks, and assist in staff safety training.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Defence requirements, and company policies.
- Work closely with production teams to foster a “Quality & Safety First” culture.
About You
- Previous experience in a quality, WHS, or compliance role (manufacturing/engineering/Defence preferred).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and WHS legislation.
- Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
- Practical, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a workshop/production environment.
- A team player with the confidence to engage staff at all levels.
