We know that food is a guaranteed way to ensure our guests have a pleasurable stay so you, as our new Chef in our small team, will be key to exceeding our guests' high dining expectations. Along with exceeding these expectations, you will:
Prepare and present dishes offered to our guests including buffet breakfast, a la carte dinner, functions and room service;
Prepare fresh produce and present food of a high standard that exceeds the expectations of local community, as well as in-house hotel guests;
You will work closely with the Executive Chef and the Hotel Manager to ensure all service periods run smoothly and adapt as needed;
Ensure stock levels and procedures are maintained by yourself and the entire F&B team;
Meet hygiene and safety requirements of the department and hotel;
Work as part of the food & beverage team covering weekend and public holiday periods as required;
Pro-actively contribute to the growth of the business and delivery of best practice restaurant / kitchen service;
Collaborate with management to plan and develop seasonal recipes and menus;
Any other jobs that are requested by the Executive Chef, Hotel Manager or General Manager.
Applicants must have:
Qualified Chef with 3+ years previous relevant experience, with demonstrated strong experience and ability to run the kitchen on days the Executive Chef is not rostered;
Be able to be flexible in their approach to ensure you are familiar with all areas of the hotel food and beverage service including breakfast, a la carte dinner, functions and room service;
Demonstrate initiative and a have a genuine desire to deliver outstanding service to our guests;
Be qualified in commercial cookery certificate 3;
Be a positive and motivated addition to our team that works well with all employees;
Must have unrestricted eligibility to work in Australia;
Hold a valid and current NSW drivers licence;
Hold a valid and current RSA certificate;
Must be able to work weekends and public holidays as the job demands;
