Our property offers 84 non-smoking, well-appointed accommodation options, comprising 42 fully self-contained one-bedroom apartments and 42 studio rooms with kitchenettes. Karratha Central Apartments is currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Commercial Cleaner to join our team on a full-time, ongoing basis. This position is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation across guest apartments and common areas throughout the property. The role reports directly to the Property Manager and plays a vital role in ensuring guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

The successful candidate must maintain a professional attitude, follow workplace procedures diligently, and contribute positively to a cooperative team environment. Upholding hygiene standards, complying with workplace health and safety requirements, and maintaining respectful conduct toward guests and colleagues are essential aspects of this role.
The ordinary hours of work will be 38 hours per week.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
● Cleaning and servicing guest apartments after checkout, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas.
● Making beds, replacing linen, replenishing guest amenities, and ensuring rooms are presentation-ready.
● Cleaning and maintaining common areas such as walkways, stairwells, laundry facilities, and shared recreational spaces.
● Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors, dusting surfaces, and sanitising high-touch areas.
● Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and kitchenettes in accordance with hygiene standards.
● Removing rubbish and ensuring proper waste disposal in compliance with local regulations.
● Reporting maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards promptly to management.
● Monitoring and maintaining cleaning supply stock levels and notifying management when replenishment is required.
● Operating cleaning equipment safely, including vacuum cleaners and other commercial cleaning tools.
● Following workplace health and safety procedures, including safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
● Have at least one (1) year of relevant full-time work experience in commercial cleaning or housekeeping.
● Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards
● Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
● Physically fit and capable of performing manual cleaning duties.
● Understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
● Reliable, punctual, and professional in work conduct.
● Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays if required.
