Step into a dynamic role at the heart of major electrical infrastructure delivery as an Assistant Project Manager in the Works Enablement Group. Reporting to the Program Delivery Manager, you’ll combine hands-on technical expertise with sharp project coordination skills, balancing office-based planning with on-site construction oversight across complex, high‑impact projects. Working alongside passionate Evoenergy teams and delivery partners, you’ll help bring critical projects to life safely, on time, on budget, and with real benefits for customers and the community.
Key responsibilities:
* Manage smaller projects and support larger network‑ and customer‑initiated projects through all delivery phases, in line with Evoenergy systems and processes
* Oversee a portfolio of projects, including planning, budgeting, design, procurement, construction, contractor performance, commissioning and handover
* Monitor and report on project budgets, forecasts and performance to ensure value for money and strong financial outcomes
* Provide advice on project delivery challenges, cost‑effective solutions and remediation actions
* Support health, safety, environmental and quality outcomes through contractor reviews, site oversight, compliance checks and quality controls
* Collaborate across the Works Enablement Group, building strong internal and external relationships while role‑modelling Evoenergy values and standards
* Other duties within the employee's skill, competence and training.

Our ideal candidate:
* Relevant engineering or project management qualifications (or equivalent technical experience), ideally within the energy or utilities sector
* Proven experience delivering electrical infrastructure projects in a utilities or similar environment
* Strong capability in project, financial and contract management, including contractor oversight and commercial negotiation
* Knowledge and experience in quality assurance, compliance, and recognised project/program management methodologies
* You take active steps to ensure the safety of your colleagues and our community, championing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment
