About The Role
This full-time, permanent role is classified as a Level 5 Allied Health position and is based in Kogarah, NSW. The position is an important leadership role within the multidisciplinary Allied Health Team at Calvary Kogarah.
Your Main Duties Will Include
* Operational direction, leadership, guidance and management of the Calvary Kogarah Social Work Team and Bereavement Counselling Service
* Facilitate the implementation of high levels of clinical expertise in order to provide high quality care to patients/clients and their carers consistent with Calvary and relevant Government Health policies, procedures and standards.
* Drive continuous quality improvement and research within the Social Work Team and Bereavement Counselling Service.
About You
* Essential
o Qualifications in accordance with Sub Schedule C of the NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations’ Professional and Associated Staff Agreement 2022 and eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers and a current Class C NSW Drivers’ Licence.
o Extensive clinical and leadership experience as a practising Social Worker.
o Demonstrated ability to provide high level of guidance, leadership and management of resources and services including recruitment, coaching, mentoring and performance development of others.
o Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature.
o Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and demonstrated application of evidence-based practice within their discipline.
o Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
o Demonstrated ability in the management of delegated financial responsibilities where optimal health outcomes are managed within budget.
o Ability to work within the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Kogarah
