The Role – General / Restaurant Manager
We're searching for a vibrant, hands‑on leader to captain the Holy Ship crew. You'll bring energy, professionalism, and a passion for creating unforgettable guest experiences. If you love hospitality, thrive in fast‑paced environments, and know how to inspire a team, this is where you belong.
As the face of the venue, you'll guide daily operations, mentor staff, manage inventory and ordering, and ensure every service runs tight and polished. A friendly, confident communicator with a natural sense of fun will thrive in this role.
What You'll Be Steering
* Oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the venue
* Deliver standout customer service and elevate the guest experience
* Coach, train, motivate, and mentor team members
* Drive business development and build relationships within the local community
* Identify operational gaps and implement smart, effective solutions
* Manage and enforce policies, procedures, and compliance
* Work flexibly across days, nights, and weekends
* Own financial performance, procedures, and reporting
* Achieve and exceed KPIs
* Control purchasing, stock, and supplier relationships
* Lead basic marketing and community engagement initiatives
What You Bring On Board
We're looking for a confident leader with proven hospitality management experience. Someone dependable, sharp, and ready to raise the bar.
A minimum of 3‑4 years of hospitality management experience is required for this position.
You'll need:
* Strong leadership with a lead‑by‑example mindset
* Energetic, positive, and outgoing personality
* Excellent organisation and multitasking abilities
* Clear, professional communication skills
* A genuine love for hospitality
* Calmness under pressure in high‑intensity environments
* Pride in yourself, your team, and your venue
* Ability to work autonomously and own time‑critical tasks
* Commitment to maintaining high presentation, service, and compliance standards
* Solid understanding of WHS, best‑practice operations, and quality standards
* Well‑developed computer skills across POS, rostering, and Google Suite (Square experience a bonus)
* Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, wages, and COGs
Essential Qualifications
* Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
* Current QLD RMLV
* First Aid Certificate
* Food Safety Certificate
* QLD Driver Licence
* All required certifications must be obtained before the start date
