* ABN Pay Rate: $94.25 - $101.10/H
About the Role
Working within the Project Development and Corporate Support Division, you will play a key role in supporting the Chief Financial Officer and Executive team. This position provides high-level financial management, reporting, budgeting, and analytical support across a diverse portfolio of major infrastructure projects. You will join a small, high-performing team and supervise a Finance Officer while contributing to critical financial governance and decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse and consolidate financial data across multiple cost centres to support strategic decision-making
* Assist in the development, monitoring, and forecasting of internal and external budgets
* Prepare and review monthly management reports and annual financial statements
* Provide expert financial advice to senior stakeholders and executive leadership
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders including ACT Treasury and Shared Services
* Drive continuous improvement of financial systems, policies, and processes
* Ensure compliance with the Financial Management Act and relevant governance frameworks
About You
* Demonstrated experience in budgeting and financial management, ideally within the public sector
* Strong experience preparing accrual-based financial statements and management reports
* Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Proven ability to build collaborative working relationships
Qualifications
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline (mandatory)
* CPA, CA, or CIMA membership highly regarded
