Construction Manager – Aged Care – up to $370k (BBBH1701) Castle Hill, Sydney, Australia
Salary: AUD280,000 - AUD370,000 per annum
Rapidly growing Design & Construct (D&C) company seeking a talented Construction Manager with a Tier 1/2 background and experience in end-to-end medium to high-density projects. Competitive salary offered.
You will be responsible for planning projects from conception to completion, ensuring delivery within scope, timeframes, and budget.
You will maintain accurate construction programs to ensure all activities are sequenced for safe, timely, and budget-compliant project delivery.
Responsibilities
Pre-Construction Phase
* Assist in analyzing potential projects and tenders
* Conduct risk analysis for all projects
* Facilitate construction input during tender process, including methodology, cash flow, program, and site logistics
* Assist in tender bids and presentations
* Develop value engineering solutions for cost savings
* Manage design process and incorporate solutions
* Forecast resources and build teams after skills assessment
Construction Phase
* Chair and manage handover process from estimators to project managers
* Plan, organize, control, and direct projects and teams
* Engage site teams with the business
* Organize monthly project reports for management
* Review bi-weekly construction program, logistics, methodology, and cash flow to track project health
* Generate and monitor ITPs for quality management
* Coordinate safety management with the compliance officer
* Provide quarterly reports highlighting lessons learned and risk mitigation strategies
* Conduct staff performance analysis and strategic resource management
* Annually qualify subcontractors and suppliers
* Oversee project close-out and handover to Maintenance Department
Other Managerial Responsibilities
* Mentor staff and organize training systems
* Research and develop new construction methods and techniques
* Ensure adherence to updated codes and legislation
* Develop management systems, procedures, and manuals
* Create a motivating culture and develop staff performance plans
